The Thrifty Peanut pays CA$H for
YOUR books, videos (VHS or DVD), school materials, used software,
video games, and other types of media items! In most cases, we
pay you MORE than the college bookstore will pay for your current
textbooks!! Outside of current textbooks, we are selective in
what we pay cash on, but we also offer trade on almost anything of
value...
We also pay CA$H or do TRADE for
other types of books & media! Whether you're a book lover,
or just trying to get rid of those books piling up in your home -

All you have to do is bring the items you want to sell
to our store (see our map on the LOCATIONS page),
and we can make you an offer for your items on the spot! It's
that easy! If you have more books than you can handle with
your vehicle, give us a call and we can schedule a pick-up for
you.
We currently have well over 300,000 books & media items
in our Bossier store, and over 35,000 items in our Shreveport store,
from just about every genre. We also sell books & media for
large organizations such as public libraries (Friends of the Library
organizations), as well as individuals and many non-profit
organizations!! We have several individuals that actually earn
a second income - just by going out to local garage sales and other
locations and finding books, videos, and other items they can
