Saturday, 5-Nov-11 was the 1st annual Crawlin for Camo Poker Run, and was organized by William Gamble of the Bayou Jeepers Jeep club.  Numerous members of the club signed up to drive their decorated jeeps in a large convoy all over the Shreveport/Bossier City area.

The poker run began at Veterans Memorial park in Bossier City, then made a total of 5 stops at area businesses, where each driver in the convoy drew tickets for door prizes from those businesses...  They each then receive a random card from a deck and depart for their next stop, until they reach the final stop #5.  At this point, each driver in the convoy has a 5 card poker hand - the driver with the best poker hand wins another prize.

Numerous local businesses sponsor the event and have their logos printed on the annual t-shirts.  Members of Bayou Jeepers sell the t-shirts and take up donations prior to the event, and 100% of the proceeds are given to the Wounded Warrior Project.

All of us at The Thrifty Peanut want to thank the Bayou Jeepers club for giving us the opportunity to sponsor this event, and for making us their official stop #2 on the poker run...  We encourage each & every person out there to make a generous donation to the Wounded Warrior Project - they have helped SO MANY disabled veterans in many ways - veterans that stand up and fight for the freedoms we enjoy each day.

God Bless the men and women of the United States military!
